A properly engineered exhaust system is a vital
necessity to any well designed commercial kitchen. This type of filter has
two functions: To minimize hazards due to grease fires and to remove odors,
grease, smoke and unwanted cooking process heat. The Equinox Grease Filters
are designed to meet and exceed those requirements.
Equinox can provide you with any type Grease or make-up air filter you may
require. All of our permanent stock sized filters are undersized ˝ ".
For example, a 20 x 20 x 2 is actually 19 ˝ x 19 ˝ x 1 7/8. If you’re
unsure if a filter is a stock size or not, please indicate exact size.
Special sizes will be made to the exact dimension ordered. All of our
filters are Classified by U. L. NFPA std. 96.

FIRE PATROL "G"
Galvanized Steel
CONSTRUCTION; Two layers of roll-formed baffles are equally spaced. This
spacing creates an airflow, which causes grease to collect and drain down
the baffle. Properly located drain holes in the frame allow the grease to
drain into a collecting trough. The fire patrol is designed to prevent
flame from passing through the filter.
MATERIAL; The Fire Patrol "G" Grease Filter is constructed of
heavy galvanized steel in both the baffles themselves and the one piece
frame. Maximum temperature is 450 degrees F.

FIRE PATROL "A"
Aluminum
CONSTRUCTION; All aluminum baffle filter with unique roll formed baffles,
designed to prevent flame from penetrating through the filter into the
ductwork.
MATERIAL; The Fire Patrol "A" Grease Filter is made from heavy
commercial aluminum on both the baffles and the frame. Maximum temperature
is 250 Degrees F.
FIRE PATROL "S"
Stainless Steel
CONSTRUCTION; Frame shall be formed stainless steel channel, securely
connected with heavy rivets. Filtering media shall consist of two layers of
stainless steel roll formed baffles, precisely designed to prevent flame
from penetrating the filter and as the grease laden air passes through the
filter it collects the grease, allowing the grease to drain into the trough
below.
MATERIAL; Baffles are made from 304 stainless steel material, roll formed
to exact specifications. Frame shall be made from type 304 stainless steel,
not less than .024 thickness, joined with stainless
steel rivets. Maximum temperature is 900 degrees F
MAKE UP AIR FILTERS
CONSTRUCTION; Frame shall be formed aluminum
channel, mitered and secured at one corner by rivets. Filtering media shall
consist of not less than six layers of aluminum, expanded through specified
feeds to assure maximum filtering and internal loading capabilities.
MATERIAL: Filtering element shall be processed from sheet aluminum, .025 in
thickness expanded with.020 strand. Frame shall be made from sheet aluminum
.025 thickness. The maximum temperature is 240
degrees F.
The make up air filters come in the same standard sizes as the grease
filters but is only 1" thick.
